Does home staging/property styling work?

It certainly does.

House preparation for sale is one of the most important things to consider when selling your home. The aim of staging is to create a stylish, inviting space that buyers can imagine themselves living in. Clearing homes of everyday clutter, and hiring furniture, art and accessories with the help of a professional property stylist will transform even the most ordinary of homes.

Beautiful styling helps get more people through the door, interested and ultimately making better offers!

How much does Brisbane home styling cost?

Every house is different. The cost of styling will depend on the size of your property and whether any of your existing furniture is used. Styling your home for sale is a small investment in a faster and more profitable sale.

A Staging Consultation of up to two hours is $300. If you are using a mixture of your own things and some hired items, Heidi will quote you on these items after the consultation.

We can also stage empty apartments and houses. Heidi can provide an over the phone estimate, followed by a visit to your property for an accurate quote. You can also fill out a form on our website to be emailed an estimate.

Can’t I just stage my own home and save some money?

There are certainly things you can do yourself to prepare your home for sale. However, having lived in your home for an extended period tends to diminish your ability to see it with fresh eyes.

Home stagers/property stylists, being new to your home, can see the issues that buyers will pick up on and help you to address them. We can also cleverly use furniture to maximise the use of space and create a functional layout.

Using designer discounts at various furniture warehouses and interior decorating experience, we will put together a stylish space to impress your potential buyers.

You only have a few precious seconds to create a great first impression! Look Home Staging will help you make the most of this time.

Why bother spending money on my house when I am selling it?

Home staging is an investment. Your return is less time on the market and a higher final selling price. If your home looks like it is neglected, potential buyers will offer less for it. An investment in staging will help keep the bargain hunters away.

The good news is you don’t have to buy new furniture. Simply arrange to hire pieces through Look Home Staging and we’ll collect them at the end of your campaign.

My agent said my property will sell without staging—why bother??

Your agent is probably right, but this will likely come at a cost. Staged homes typically sell faster and for a better price.

Do you want to just sell your home, or get a price you’re thrilled with?

What’s more, a home sitting on the market will be costing you money. You may have purchased your new home and be paying two mortgages, continuing to pay rates, electricity and water for a property you don’t want, and agents will soon suggest a price drop. Selling a home faster saves you money and stress.

Styling your home for sale will highlight your home’s good points, minimize the bad and have you putting up the ‘sold’ sign up and moving on sooner.

Should I stage my home before I go on the market or can I do it if I am on the market now?

If your property has been on the market and there is little interest, home staging can provide an alternative to a price reduction. Reviewing the property once it is on the market is common and issues can still be identified and worked on so the property can attract potential buyers.

Can I live in my home when it is staged and during the sales campaign?

Yes, you can.

Insurance is included in the hiring of furniture and your family situation is taken into consideration when furniture is chosen. Hired linen and towels cannot be used but we will show you how to set these up for open homes and you can take photos for your reference.
